This song is about a grand knight from a kingdom of old, long ago. In this place, a fiery dragon rules the skies and captures a maiden. The King and Queen choose the knight to fight the dragon and rescue the girl. The knight is able to overcome the dragon, but he gives his life doing so.

And a damsel was held captive by the creature’s ruthless remands
The reigning King and Queen sent a decree out across the land
A noble knight was found with a steel and a powerful hand

The dragon lived in a lair of gold deep in the caverns high
