This song was written as a tribute to Paul's grandfather, who was a preacher in the Australian outback. Some of the key ideas the song conveys is how the preacher's final wishes was to have his ashes scattered beneath the flowers and trees, and how he spoke in bars in remote towns, referring to the Australian outback, and was rescued from the perils on a run-away horse, and that he was made an honorary sheriff in an arid land, referring to Arizona.
